The pedestral object stems from my long-term interest in structures, stones and rocks as such. First ideas were sketched in Canadian mountains.

My vision was to transfer these structures to a glass object, combined with a simple geometry. I’ve tried to express this using combined lithographic techniques. The combination of a smooth, geometrically clean surface and an organic shape with a coarse and rough structure really captured my approach to creation. This is what Pedestral expresses for me. An object that looks like from a different world. Destined to become a small design conference table.

Whole production process is very playful and each piece is unique alchemical piece. Blown into stones, then stained with oxides or coloured glass crushes. Production of these objects itself is like sketching. I constantly look for new approaches and procedures to naturally transfer the structure into the glass.
